The nuclear energy

The nuclear energy

In nuclear fission, atoms separate to form smaller atoms, releasing energy; Nuclear power plants use this technique to produce electricity. In nuclear fusion, energy is released when atoms combine or fuse together to form a larger atom.

Nuclear energy is not renewable`
Nuclear energy is an alternative for the generation of energy such as electricityfcf
Disadvantages of nuclear energy: Nuclear energy produces waste from the material used and there are concerns about possible accidents or leaks, since uranium is not renewable, at least for now. One of the drawbacks of this material is its high radioactivity, in addition to having a very high half-life.

Advantages of nuclear energy:
The advantages of nuclear energy, however, offset the disadvantages. It does not produce greenhouse gases. And it is a constant and planable energy all year round. Its operating costs are also low. If we add its high energy production with low fuel, we are talking about efficient energy with clear future prospects.
Steps are being taken towards its recycling. Some European countries, China, Russia and Japan have means to reprocess uranium. Storage facilities ensure safe containment of material. In addition, the plants are governed by very strict regulations and have highly qualified personnel.
